Something Strange 2
I can't tell what happened here. I don't know. I believe that there is a time warp a sort of bending of time and I just keep getting chased and attacked and then everything is fine. I hope I am still ok.

Splinter
What is going on here? I was at the Torpedo Factory but I think it is haunted. I started running and I came upon this tree and something spoke to me. Yes, I know David Morneau created some music but I heard something calling and I, I, I, oh my, oh nooooooooooooo.

Yesterday was Colleen's Birthday so we celebrate by looking back over some of the dances that she made, some photos she took and general Colleen love all around. The music is Dance to the Drummer's Beat by Herman Kelly and Life. Happy Birthday Colls.

Traveler
Tony Oliveres performed this work several times during the improv festival and I never got to see the whole thing because I was working. I took some time during a break to run up to the MLK Library and see a little bit. I did not have my camera so I used my cell phone.

Where the Hell is Matt
I first learned about this site on a podcast I listen too at cnet.com where I get my technology new and reviews. http://wherethehellismatt.com At first I was disturbed by it because I felt that people were associating him with dance on the web. But then I realized that it was not about dance it was about people and dreams. I first learned this when I was dancing with Liz Lerman/Dance Exchange. We would go into these places and dance with people and it was never about movement or movement skill but connecting to people by listening to them and making sure they were heard audibly and visually. How fun to dance with people all over the world and share it. His message is that you can travel, it is not that hard and not that expensive. True, if you are a person of a specific socioeconomic class. I went to Jamaica my first year of grad school. I did not have a sponsor however. More than anything is makes me feel that I am doing the right thing. I may not get a sponsor but I am making art and I am doing what I love and if people want to see it, they can.

Objects of Hope
I was on my way to the improv festival when I happen upon Kelly Mayfield and Contradiction Dance in rehearsal. SO I stop and whip out my camera and start taping. This is a slightly different version than the performance so enjoy.
