Ode to Umeda

When I was in Columbus the last time I saw a performance by Hiroaki Umeda called S20. He used music and projected patterns to great effect. I wanted to make a similar thing and though this video is nothing like his performance the movement is similar.

Again, I just love this Potomac scene, and sound of the water and the wind and the trees, seeing the water behind you, with your white shirt bleeding into it, and your homage movement is totally captivating. Makes me think that there's something in seeing you in the same place twice: I enjoy the familiarity, that I can "taste" the place again, and the new dimensions brought to it.

Thanks Clare. I like to imitate and I should do it more often.
