How can you love your planet more? Drive less, bike more and make a bicycle dance on the mall. That is what Kate Jordan did when she gathered some folks up to dance at the climate change rally. I walked out of the metro and I was shocked but the balloons, music, stilt walkers and skaters, all for the Capitols hockey team. I thought since I am trying to do more dances with street musicians this is the time for a dance, so I danced.

First I saw the most amazing swirl of flowers. I missed taping the beginning but you can sort of see the wind blowing the petals around but nothing like when it started. Then I danced in the nook that I often pass at George Mason University.

Elena and I went to check out the Hapi Hapi Hour at the textile museum and boy was it fun. We played Meet People Bingo and met people wearing a scarf or a tie, a harajuku girl or two. We looked at fabric made of steel and got to touch some textiles on a tour. We even rocked it out to music of The Four Horsemen. www.pinklineproject.com

An old tape from my childhood with my family. I am guessing this is around 1973 and my dad just got a fancy toy called a cassette recorder. It used small tapes and you could actually record your own voice instead of having to buy pre-recorded 8-track tapes. As you will hear, I was very much into Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald's scat music as I tried to out sing my baby sister.
