It snowed!! So of course I had to dance in the snow. I walked down to the former ice skating rink in Pershing Park and danced among the snowflakes.

A dance by the National Christmas Tree and a lot of kids passing by. The one kid looked stunned at what I was doing, he is the one who says "look out for the man" ; it was a good time.

Part 2 of a party at the home of the lovely Philippa Hughes. There comes a time when people standing around talking is just too much for me and I must dance. I think Philippa was encouraging me.

I was delighted to get to work and see this playing in the Art and Design Building. David Wojnarowicz's "A Fire in My Belly" which was removed from an exhibit at the National Museum of American Art after a few protests because it showed an image of a crucifix with a couple of ants on it. It is a dangerous thing to censor art as now the artist's work becomes seen by more and more people who will wonder what the fuss is all about. Then protests will happen on both sides of a made up argument about morality. Conservatives will find a way to raise money by calling on institutions that get government funding to stay away from controversy while making non-controversal things an anathema to the uneducated masses who will parrot everything they are told about how their freedom is being taken from them when someone other than them is allowed to be free. They will raise millions by making people believe the world is ending because the mighty artists has destroyed their future and taken away their America. Funding for art was slashed because of such protests in the early 1990's, let art live.

A performance in Columbus, OH called Afternoon Delight. I was invited by Coco Loupe to perform at Wild Goose Collective. For this I talked about dance a day and had the audience turn on their phone speakers call a couple of numbers and scroll through the menus as I danced. I recorded a narrative about things I found unique about Columbus on my phone and played it back.
